LIP PIERCING? WHEN WILL IT HEALLLL?
had my lip pierced for 6 weeks now.
Its not swollen, Tenderness has gone down ALOT.
but its still red on the outside around the ring. but i think thats cause i always change the jewerally..
that only happens when i put the bar on my teeth and like stretch my lips across my teeth sorta thing.
it doesnt hurt when i put new jewerally in it, all jewerally i put in is TITANIUM & its great.
also the plate on the back of my stud leave a round circle where its been it did on my retainer that was a 1.6 x 8 now my bar is a 1.6 x 9 it fits fine but i think all bars do this..
anyway when will it be fully healed?

I do not have any facial piercings, just ears and navel, but I do know that you are never supposed to change the jewelry in any piercing at all until the piercing is fully healed. You may be aggravating the wound and preventing full healing by changing the jewelry before it was time to - and doing it multiple times.
I would just leave the same piece in and follow normal care instructions given by the piercer. I did this with my navel years ago, even kept the same ring and cleaning routine for months longer than I was told to, and I have never had any problems with it at all - unlike some of my friends who were in a hurry to change theirs out.
Check with your piercer for the healing time, but remember that it gets extended if you don't follow the care instructions.
