This is the Blue Angels Watch. The Citizen Skyhawk Titanium Watch honors the legendary US Navy precision flying team, by featuring the Blue Angels insignia on the back of the watch.
I can remember summers as a kid, taking road trips to the Navy Base in the back of our van, just to watch the Blue Angels fly. I was forever amazed to witness the aerial maneuvers at such great speed, remarkable precision, and perfect timing. Actually, the same could be said about this watch, its fast forward.
I love this watch. This third generation model is much lighter and remarkably stronger than earlier skyhawk's. The satin-finished titanium bracelet is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel and a full 30 percent stronger. You can actually feel the difference.
The Eco-Drive feature is brilliant technology. The solar powered battery takes up light from natural and artificial sources. I appreciate the fact that it will never require a new battery, and it can run steady for 6 full months in the dark. That's just ridiculous, amazing technology that's good for the planet.
This chronograph is beautifully designed. It is truly a work of art, as any fine watch should be. But it is so much more, and that and that's what makes it special.
Multiple time zone capability is a nice feature for active lifestyles. You'll have to play with the watch to see what I mean, but International business men and global vagabonds will appreciate this feature in equal measure.
You can take the Skyhawk diving if you like. You'll find it outperforms most watches in the water, given the remarkable 100M rating. The titanium hardware also makes it more resistant to saltwater corrosion than traditional stainless steel.
When you're spent from a day on the ocean, this watch looks sharp with a sport jacket and a hot date. If you like this watch even half as much as I do, it will be money well spent and a great addition to your collection.
