Is this a tacky wedding idea? Re; Theme/Decor?
Honesty please... Firstly, my hubby-to-be is Greek and I'm an Aussie. I would love to have a romantic arabian/harem theme wedding. I was thinking candelabras, colours in burgundy, gold and deep purple, large cushions etc. It doesn't exactly match our backgrounds... but I like the idea. OR... should I stick to a more traditional Greek theme wedding. (either way we plan on playing Greek music and have plate smashing!!)
Also, does anyone know of any websites where I can find ideas for both types of theme weddings?
Help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
I watch a lot of the television shows about weddings and receptions and I saw an episode of "My Fair Wedding" where David Tutera set up a wedding reception with a Moroccan theme and your theme idea would be a lot like it. He used a lot of the same colors in pillows, drapery, etc and it looked amazing. If that's the theme you want then do it, you should see if you can get a copy of the video of that episode for some ideas.
